Police in Rivers State exonerates men from Elelenwo shooting incident

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed that no police Officer was involved in a shooting incident in Elelenwo area of Port Harcourt today
Spokeperson of the Police Command, Angela Agabe told Reporters that the incident involved a prison warden and four civilians in a taxi.
”this morning around 9.30 in the morning, a prison warden by name Henry P, that is the inscription on his name tag was in a prison vehicle, while a taxi was coming in front, he stopped them, they didn’t stop he jumped down and shot at the vehicle, the taxi had three occupants with the driver by name Ebere Manuel who died at the spot, while a pastor, Nathaniel Ibinabo is receiving treatment at BMSH” she explained.
DSP Agabe said the prison Warder who fired the bullet has been arrested and called for calm while investigation continues
”and the Police ASP arrested the prison warden and took him to State CID for more investigation, the matter is under control, the persons involved have been arrested, so the people living along Elelenwo should not panic as police is on top of the situation and there is no cause for alarm”.
