Jonathan’s pilgrimmage will cause a revival in Nigeria – Godswill Akpabio

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom has said that President Jonathan’s recent pilgrimmage to Israel will cause a spiritual rebirth that will change Nigeria for the better.
Speaking through a statement by his Commissioner for Information, Aniekan Umana, Akpabio said the lives of Nigerians would not remain the same.
Akpabio said: “This being the first pilgrimage by a Nigerian leader to Jerusalem, I believe that God is going to look at Nigeria favourably and our lives would never be the same again.“
“I believe strongly that being the first historic pilgrimage by any president in Nigeria since 1914 would be a turning point for our country.
“I know that past Heads of State and Presidents who were Muslim had undertaken pilgrimages to Medina and Mecca.
“This being the first pilgrimage by a Nigerian leader to Jerusalem, I believe that God is going to look at Nigeria favourably and our lives would never be the same again.
“I am very convinced that this is a turning point for national rebirth.
“This is a turning point by Mr President to transform this nation.
“Any transformation that does not have spiritual connotation is not enough,” the statement quoted Akpabio as saying.

  1. Any serious minded person in Nigeria should by now, never count any statement from Akpabio as anything sensible. By his utterances of recent, he's definitely a sycophant, a Yes o boy to Jonathan. If they're expecting a positive change in Nigeria, let them 1st start confessing their sins, all the embezzlement, the Oil stealing going on heavily in Niger Delta with the backing of the Presidency at the expense of the whole country, all in the name of, Na Our Own. How many Israeli PM or President ever believe in such stupid talks without putting in their best at all times in ensuring adequate security & provision of all necessary facilities for their citizens. Do they just go Solomon's or Jesus tomb to pray & go back to sleep? Or, go looting their country's treasury? Akpabio is just a clown so, let us just give him drum & let him keep on dancing. Good luck, Nigeria. 2015 is just around the corner so, let everybody open their eyes, mind, mouth & what have you to, keep on electing Clowns & Jesters OR, Serious minded people.
