Ekwunife's Suit: Obi's Aide Spites Fire

As Ekwunife’s suit in the Federal High court, Awka seeking the disqualification of the APGA candidate, Chief Willie Obiano for multiple registration continues to generate heat in the state, the Special Assistant to Governor Peter Obi on Youth Mobilisation, Hon. Nduka Alor said Wednesday that the lawmaker is being sponsored by some mischief politicians who lost out in the last guber election in the state and urged her (Ekwunife) to withdraw the suit or face the wrath of youths in Anambra State.
Hon Alor, who stated this in his Awka office while briefing newsmen, also expressed confident that the court will quash the suit as INEC had earlier exonerated Obiano.
According to him: “Ekwunife cannot take this kind of decision. She worked for Obiano during the election. I don’t know why some mischief makers want to use her to shine. She is a very decent woman who knows what she wants and am sure she has no hand in the suit.”
Alor also chided other political parties which have also gone to court seeking outright cancellation of the November 16 election which according to him was won by APGA. He described them as myopic politicians who are bent on instigating crisis in  the state.
The aide commended INEC for insisting on the supplementary election adding that Obiano’s detractors should have known that INEC has no constitutional power to cancel an election which result they had announced in some areas.
“I also wonder why people are complaining about an election that was adjudged by local and International observers as the most peaceful, freest and fairest election. INEC tried their best as no human is completely perfect but they demonstrated a high sense of transparency and fairness. It is impossible to satisfy everybody and I am sure that people championing this course are people who lost out in the election and some others who imported people from Yorubaland to rig the election but thank God for security agencies that rounded them up in Imo State.
"None of them won in more than two Local Government Areas while APGA floored them in 16 LG, yet they are not yet ashamed of themselves that they are not as popular as they think.
“May I use this opportunity to tell them that the APGA train is big enough to accommodate anybody who believes in Igbo identity and I urge them to join the moving train rather than fermenting trouble in a state that Governor Obi has maintained absolute peace for the past eight years and as well built to an enviable height,” he said.
Hon Alor also called on Anambrarians, especially the youths, to troop out en-masse on Saturday, November 30th to vote APGA during the supplementary election, insisting  Willie Obiano has lofty package for the youths.
“I am optimistic that Saturday’s election will reflect people’s choice because our people want continuity. Obiano has promised to continue the youth empowerment and employment which Governor Obi started assuring us that youth’s voice must definitely count this time around.”
