Tsav urges Idomas not to betray David Mark

Former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav yesterday advised Idoma people of Benue south senatorial district not to betray senator David Mark’s benevolence for the tribe.
Tsav, who frowned at his Tiv kinsmen for rejoicing over the nullification of Mark’s election, urged the Idoma nation not to allow selfish politicians to mislead them to abandon the former senate president as they prepared for a re-run election.

The former police commissioner noted that despite the setback, an average Idoma man values the leadership qualities of Mark and his contribution to the development of the area.

He wondered how some Tiv politicians, who would never support the emergence of Idoma as governor of Benue State, would now want to interfere in the matters affecting “the progressive and self reliant Idoma people”.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi had at the weekend nullified Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Mark election and ordered a rerun within ninety days, a development which has provoked mixed feelings among people in the state.
